So many of us are doing nothing but trying to fit it. We feel hated by all and like we are the outsiders. We don’t quite fit in whether it is school or work. It seems like everyone “gets it” and is in sync with one another but here we are sitting on the outside going that does not make sense.
When walking through Sam’s Club today, I have to laugh as age and maybe my Bible study, has definitely changed me. For a while, I’ve want a Northface jacket. They are super nice and I’ve heard rave reviews. They are definitely expensive or well pricey at least. So today, I saw at least 1/4 of the store wearing one but that feels generous as I felt like it was 1/2. After seeing so many, I realized how happy I was that I haven’t purchased one yet. Being different is okay. I purchased a really nice jacket today and very happy with it.
There was a time in my life where I didn’t dare to be different because I didn’t want to feel like I was the only one without something. I didn’t want to be teased or thought of in any other way than normal. This is how so many feel. God does not call us to be like the world.
John 15:18-20 states “If the world hates you, keep in mind that it hated me first. If you belonged to this world, it would love you as its own. As it is, you do not belong to the world, but I have chosen you out of the world. That is why the world hates you. Remember the words I spoke to you: No servant is greater than his master. If they persecuted me, they will persecute you also. If they obeyed my teaching, they will obey yours also.”
Now tell me your story-
